My baby turns 27 today...Happy Birthday Emily!

This is Emily on day 1. Dad looks like he has just really had
a rough night. Ha! Emily just wasn't so sure she wanted
to come to this earth I guess. My mother came to help me out one
week after Emily's due date, because my history of having four
previous babies was that they were all late.
So, she sat here and sat here.
She only had three weeks vacation. We did everything we
could think of to get that baby here, but she wouldn't budge.
They induced me three weeks after my due date, nothing happened,
so, they sent me home. Then one week later, we tried again. They
came to check me about 7pm, I hadn't done much,
so, they were going to send me home at 10pm.
Then my water broke. Whooo...now they had
to keep me. I went through three shifts of nurses
to get her here, but she finally made it. The sad part was,
my mother had to leave the next day at 8am. So, she sat and
held Emily all day long. I think Emily actually wondered
where she was after she left.
Emily has turned into a wonderful woman.
She married a great guy. She has achieved
her lifelong dream of becoming a hair stylist. (The animals
around the house always had new hair styles or hair cuts.)
All of the nieces and nephews love her.
Happy Birthday, Emily! I love you.

This is Emily at age 5. She inherited her Mom's love for animals.

As a kid, she pretty much always had some animal in her arms.

She is still a good animal Mommy, and shows all animals

much love and compassion. I know the Lord loves

her for loving His creations.

Happy Birthday Kade!

Kade's graduation from BYU-I. I just thought this was
so cute with his little Liberty.
Below, Kade at about 6 1/2 months.
I have slacked off on my blogging. I need to
post my June and July grandchildren's birthdays,
but today is Kade's birthday, so, I think I will get
my own child's done first.
Kade's birthday should have been July 16, but, no...
he decided to come three weeks later. I guess so that he
could add on some extra poundage. He came into the world
a whopping 10 pounds 5 ounces and 22 and half inches long.
When they wheeled me from the delivery room to the recovery
room, the nurses at the station were all commenting,
"Oh, this is the lady who had the toddler."
He was so heavy, he would actually make my arm tired
when I fed him. He had such a sweet nature, and he
always had a smile that could melt you that went with
the brightest twinkle in those big blue eyes.
Kade, you have turned into a wonderful man, father,
husband, and son. I hope you will always
use that sweet disposition that the Lord blessed
you with in all of your dealings, add in a smile
and a twinkle in your eye, and you will go far.
Happy 30th Birthday!
I love you.

Carter

Here is March birthday boy ready to party. He is a big six year old now.
Luckily I found this picture of Carter as a baby with me holding him. I think this was his first trip to Yellowstone.

Brylee

Here is March birthday girl, Brylee. A big four year old now.

Since Brylee is one of my March birthday grandkids, here is a picture of her with Aunt Mimi. Apparently, in the computer crash I have lost what pictures I had of me holding her as a baby...or else no one ever took a picture of me holding her.

Since Cameron is the newest addition to the family, and it is his Daddy's birthday today, I thought I would add these two pictures of Grampy and Grammy with him. I will try to get more of the other grandkids along the way. I love you all.

Happy Birthday Quin!

One of these days I will get better at blogging, but for now, I will at least get my children's birthdays in. I have already messed up and not gotten my grandchildren in, but that will come.
I remember 32 years ago today, being four days overdue, which is nothing compared to the others, and being so glad that the dr. told me to go to the hospital and he would induce labor. Well, it was a struggle, but I finally got that little posterior, 9 lb. 7 oz., 23 and 1/4 inch baby, with very square shoulders here. And now that sweet baby is a daddy himself. I once heard his wife say, "The only thing better than Quin would be two Quins." Well, she got them. In looks anyway. Baby Cameron is almost a clone of his dad. The top picture is Cameron and the bottom one is Quin. The name Cameron wasn't really on the list of names that they had chosen for a boy, but when they saw him, that was it. Cameron is Quin's middle name. You have grown into a wonderful man, husband, and father.
Happy Birthday, Quin. I love you!

Happy Birthday Elena!

Here I am wondering 'what do I do now'?
I remember sitting in that bed in the hospital
with the most overwhelming feeling of
responsibility flowing through me. It seemed
rather surreal. All I could do was stare at you.
I guess I did ok.
You have become a wonderful
daughter, sister, wife, mother, and
everything in between.

Happy Birthday! I love you.
